African Elephants have been hunted so much over the years, that whenever they hear a helicopter the herd hurry to the closest road to them and walk with the tourists/local civilians until the helicopter disappears. Why do they do this? Well, the Elephants have learnt, that if they are on the road with humans, they can’t be shot at.

Wow. Reminds me of the movie i saw last night: Water for Elephants. Elephants are such intelligent, feeling, creatures.  I would love to see one in person up close.
